Nokia 2720 Fold
If you're looking for a basic phone at a bargain, you may have found it in the Nokia 2720 Fold. Decent call quality and usability are all we'd expect for just $20 from T-Mobile and $10 with AT&T (both with two-year agreements), but the Fold folds in more.
About face
On the front of the Fold you'll find the speaker and a black-and-white external display. When it goes dark, as it is here, pressing the volume rocker relights the screen.
Starboard ports
The Nokia Fold's spines are fairly bare. The right spine features a volume rocker, Nokia's proprietary charger port, and a small flash connector for specialized accessories. The left spine houses a 2.5 millimeter headset jack, which is smaller than the standard, but not a major detriment to the phone.
Backside
The Nokia Fold is about 8.5 inches tall when open, with a camera lens on the back.
Pics and flicks
The 1.3-megapixel camera is welcome in a phone of this basic caliber, though don't expect a high-resolution image. To the Fold's credit, Nokia also added in a camcorder for shooting video clips.
Compact
While not the shortest flip phone we've seen, the Fold is light and manageable in the hand. We should note that its glossy, mirrored surface smudges easily and often.
Pocketability
We had no problems slipping the Nokia Fold into a pocket.
