The Motorola Droid 3 is the next installment of the popular Droid series and offers a number of improvements over the Droid 2. The smartphone is available now online from Verizon Wireless for $199.99 with a two-year contract and will be in stores by July 14.

On back, you'll find the smartphone's 8-megapixel camera and dual-LED flash. With the dual-core processor, it can now record 1080p HD video, which you can view on your HDTV via a Micro-HDMI connector cable (not included).

The Motorola Droid 3 is a dual-mode phone, so you'll be able to use it globally. It also offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, aGPS, 3G, and mobile hot-spot capabilities, but it is not 4G capable.
