Phones: Better than chocolates and flowers
If you're thinking about getting your mom a phone for Mother's Day but don't know where to start, consider the handsets in this list. Though they range from super-affordable to high-end, they are all reliable and our favorites to recommend. And remember: After you finish going through the list, call your mother. She misses you.

Apple iPhone SE
With its 4-inch display, the iPhone SE marks Apple's return to a smaller design. But just because it's compact enough to fit comfortably in small jean pockets doesn't mean it's not capable. The device has a 12-megapixel camera, Touch ID and an A9 processor inside.
Samsung Galaxy S7
Beautifully designed with top-of-the-range specs, the Galaxy S7 is the best Android handset available right now. The device features a 5.1-inch display, a 12-megapixel camera and a 3,000mAh battery that lasts well throughout the day. Oh yeah, it's also water-resistant, so your mother won't have to worry if the device accidentally takes a dip.
Google Nexus 5X
Featuring a polished design, a charming powder-blue color option and a sharp 5.2-inch screen, the Nexus 5X is one of our favorite Android handsets. And if your mother gets "mad" about you spending too much money on her, tell her she doesn't need to worry. The 5X is one of the best and affordable handsets around.
LG V10
For the mom who takes tons of photos and videos, the V10 will amp up her camera game. Featuring luxe design accents, the 6.3-inch device has two front-facing cameras (one of which includes a wide-angle lens) and manual camera controls for photos and videos. Though, if you get her a V10, we should apologize now for the deluge of photos that might be heading your way next.
Motorola Moto G (third generation)
If you want to buy your mother a sensible and reliable phone without all the bells and whistles, the Moto G is a solid option. It does everything you need a mobile device to do, it has a nearly pure Android interface and you can swap out the battery door for some fun, bright colors.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5
For the person who can do it all, the Galaxy Note 5 is a powerhouse of a phone. Equipped with a built-in stylus, productivity apps and a 5.7-inch screen, your mom will be ruling the world (or at least her own company) soon enough. After raising you all this time, how hard could it be?
