The new version finally adds face recognition, plus basic HDR merge and panorama stitching.
For each face it recognizes, it stacks similar ones together and you go through either entering names or confirming its guesses.
It generates a name tag for each person you've trained it to recognize so that you can subsequently filter by person.
The new Filter Brush lets you add or erase mask areas from a graduated or radial filter. I used the graduated filter to color-correct the kitten and the hammock and then brushed out the background.
On dark areas, the filter brush couldn't completely erase the mask.
There are only a few basic options in Lightroom's panorama stitching mode.
Because you can't interact with the stitching, you can't correct obvious errors.
Like panorama, HDR merge has only a few options. It does show an overlay on the areas where it thinks deghosting is necessary.
Lightroom adds HTML 5 web grid templates.
