LG's modern dishwasher has a few old-school touches

The $700 LG LDS5040ST Dishwasher has room for 14 place settings and the flexibility to fit pots and pans.

With five cycles and three options to choose from, you can use this machine to wash a variety of dishes.

It's a modern-looking machine, but it uses an old fashioned disposer to get rid of bulky food.

Pick your cycle with the buttons on the control panel.

Use the options button to cycle between the three extras, or add them all at once.

When you're ready to go, just shut the door. The timer will estimate the time remaining and count down as the dishwasher runs.

The upper rack has two sets of fold-down tines.

You can even change their angle.

Use the trigger to raise or lower the upper rack to accommodate taller dishes.

The bottom rack can also accommodate larger dishes.

You can fold down all of the tines on the bottom rack, and some fold down so every other tine is left standing.

With lots of flexibility built into the racks, the LG LDS5040ST makes plenty of room for your dishes and gets rid of food waste with an old-fashioned disposer.
