Lenovo's new Intel-powered K900 (pictures)
On the first official day of CES 2013, Lenovo introduces the K900, the Intel Clover Trail+ smartphone. Get a closer look as CNET goes hands-on.
Lenovo grows
LAS VEGAS--With its 5.5-inch display, the K900 joins the growing family of king-size displays like the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the LG Intuition. But don't let its size fool you; it has a comfortable and lightweight feel in the hand. Of course, the highlight is the Z2580 2GHz dual-core processor that's part of the Clover Trail+ platform.
Main menu
Inside the main menu holds several pages of icons. Below are three touch controls.
Bright and vibrant
The HD display has a 1080p resolution with a pixel density of more than 400ppi. It's all covered by Gorilla Glass.
The K900 runs on Jelly Bean and comes with 16GB of integrated memory.
Media
As you'd expect there's a full media player. I only saw a brief clip, but the quality looked great.
...and messaging
The K900 has a standard Jelly Bean keyboard.
Strike a pose
Turn it on its side to see its supertrim 6.9mm profile.
Skin of steel
The stainless-steel casing gives the K900 not only a shiny, sleek look, but also a sturdy construction.
Copper-clad
One of the K900's on display had a striking copper skin.

This top view offers another look at the svelte design.
