Kodak's 180-degree security camera can see more (pictures)
At just $150, the US-only Kodak Video Monitor CFH-V20 security camera is priced to compete in the DIY arena; it also happens to have some pretty premium specs.
The $150 Video Monitor CFH-V20 is Kodak's latest security camera, available in the United States through Amazon.
Detach the camera from its base to connect it to a USB-compatible battery pack (sold separately).
This makes on-the-go access possible, wherever you have a reliable Wi-Fi connection.
The CFH-V20 is equipped with a 180-degree field of view, night vision, two-way talk, motion alerts and free 24-hour event-based cloud storage via the iSecurity+ app, available for Android and iOS.
You can also sign up for Smart Detection, a premium option starting at $3 per month that does a pretty good job of distinguishing moving people from other motion-related activity (although it isn't able to tell you who it's seeing).
This Kodak camera also comes with an IFTTT channel. (Read how the CNET Smart Home uses IFTTT here.)
That way, you can connect to the iSecurity+ IFTTT channel for all sorts of advanced home automations.
