iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max: See Apple's biggest mobile flex this year

Apple unveiled the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone Pro Max, its new high-end phones meant to succeed the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max, last Tuesday.

The phones will start at the same price as last year's Pro iPhones, with the iPhone 13 Pro beginning at $999 (£949, AU$1,699) and the iPhone 13 Pro Max starting at $1,099 (£1,049, AU$1,849). Here's how and when you can preorder the iPhone 13. 

As is usually the case with Apple's Pro-level iPhones, the camera is one of the main differences between the iPhone 13 Pro models and the standard model.

The biggest additions include three new cameras.

Both the iPhone 13 Pro Max (seen here) and the iPhone 13 Pro get three rear lenses: A 12-megapixel (wide), 12-megapixel (ultrawide) and 12-megapixel (telephoto).

The Ultra Wide camera on the Pro models can focus at 2 centimeters, which is a great tool for capturing macro photos.

In addition to the camera upgrades, the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max received new 120Hz display and longer battery life. 

Between the two however, the iPhone 13 Pro Max has the bigger 6.7-inch OLED display, while the iPhone 13 Pro has a 6.1-inch display.
