The Huawei Ascend II quietly debuted at CTIA.
Cricket's Huawei Ascend II (left) is leaner, lighter, and more stylish than its predecessor, but it still only runs Android 2.2 Froyo, not Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Note: The handset we photographed is preproduction and may eventually sport Huawei's interface, not the stock Android experience as shown.
The Ascend II is a much slimmer specimen as well, which makes it feel more premium in addition to being more pocketable.
While the original Ascend had a 3.2-megapixel camera, the Ascend II gets upgraded to 5 megapixels.
