HTC booth
HTC shows off its latest smartphones at GSMA Mobile World Congress 2009. The most crowded section of the booth was where they were displaying the T-Mobile G1, and the most popular person at the booth was the one company representative holding the only model of the HTC Magic.
HTC Magic
HTC and Vodafone announced the HTC Magic on the second day of the show. It's Vodafone's first Google Android device and should not be confused with the T-Mobile G2. The HTC Magic will be available in the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, France, and Italy this spring, with other markets being added at a later date.
HTC Magic
The HTC Magic is smaller in size compared with the T-Mobile G1. However, it lacks a physical keyboard but you do not get a landscape onscreen keyboard. Other features include a 3.2-inch HVGA touch screen and trackball navigator, a Webkit browser, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, HSDPA/WCDMA (900/2100MHz), and a 3.2-megapixel camera.
HTC Touch Diamond2
The HTC Touch Diamond2 is the next-generation model of the HTC Touch Diamond. The Touch Diamond2 runs Windows Mobile 6.1, but HTC has announced that it will be upgradeable to Windows Mobile 6.5 when it comes out in the second half of 2009. New features to the device include 50 percent better battery life and a 5-megapixel camera. The Touch Diamond2 is expected to ship in Europe and Asia in Q2, while the rest of the world--including the United States, we're guessing--will get it later this year.
HTC Touch Diamond2
The HTC Touch Diamond2 sports a thinner design and measures 4.25 inches high by 2.09 inches wide by 0.54 inch thick. It feels really nice in the hand and has a solid construction.

The smartphone also gets a boost in screen size with a 3.2-inch, VGA touch screen. The display has a built-in accelerometer and features a landscape soft keyboard.
HTC Touch Diamond2
The Touch Diamond2, as well as the HTC Touch Pro2, now come equipped with a a new touch-sensitive zoom bar that makes it easier and faster to zoom in on Web pages, e-mails, text messages, photos, and documents.

So a Web site goes from looking like this...

...to this with just a swipe of the finger. Both of the Touch smartphones also feature HTC's new Push Internet Technology to help speed up downloads and rendering of Web pages on your smartphone.
HTC Touch Pro2
The HTC Touch Pro2 takes over the HTC Touch Pro and gets a nice update in the looks department. The smartphone sports a rounder design and measures 4.5 inches tall by 2.3 inches wide by 0.6 inch thick. The Pro2 is equipped with a 3.6-inch WVGA (480x800) touch screen with a proximity sensor and the aforementioned zoom bar.
HTC Touch Pro2
On back, you'll find the Touch Pro2's 3.2-megapixel camera. The speakerphone will also automatically activate when you turn the phone over and place it face down on a flat service. Speakerphone quality is also supposed to be much improved because of HTC's Straight Talk technology, which employs asymmetric speakers and advanced noise suppression with full duplex acoustics.
HTC Touch Pro2
Like its predecessor, the HTC Touch Pro2 has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard but now there's spacing between the buttons and they're larger for a nice typing experience.
HTC Touch Pro2
The Touch Pro2 brings back the tilting screen that we saw on the AT&T Tilt, which provides a better viewing angle when typing messages.
HTC Touch Pro2
The HTC Touch Diamond2 and the Touch Pro2 now have single-view contact integration. This brings your complete conversation history, whether it be text, voice, or e-mail, onto a single contact card and can also be viewed on the in-call screen.
HTC Touch Cruise
The HTC Touch Cruise was announced in late January and is the update to the original Touch Cruise. It's a GPS-centric smartphone and comes with new software called HTC Footprints that lets you add notes and audio clips to your photos so you can send them to friends and family. You can also geotag your photos.
HTC Touch Cruise
The HTC Touch Cruise can be used as an in-car navigation system, as well, and comes with a car cradle that allows for turn-by-turn directions. Expected ship date for the HTC Touch Cruise, here in the States and globally, is this spring for an unlocked price of $500 to $600.
HTC Max 4G
The HTC Max 4G is one of those devices that we'll probably never see in the United States. The device is based on WiMAX technology, so you can surf the Web and download data beyond broadband speeds.
HTC Max 4G
The Max 4G has an impressive 3.8-inch TFT-LCD flat touch-sensitive WVGA (480x800) screen.
HTC Touch HD
The HTC Touch HD is another smartphone we can only drool over. It features one of the largest displays on a smartphone (a 3.8-inch diagonal VGA touch screen). However, HTC announced back in October that it would not bring the smartphone to the United States and instead promised that "other cool stuff" was coming.
HTC Touch 3G
The HTC Touch 3G is like the original HTC Touch but has, as the names states, 3G. This is a GSM version supporting HSDPA speeds, which we have not see in the United States, though Sprint's HTC Touch and the Verizon Wireless XV6900 support EV-DO.
