HTC Rezound (Verizon Wireless)
HTC, Beats Audio, and Verizon Wireless introduced the HTC Rezound in New York today. The Android smartphone is Verizon's latest 4G LTE device and will go on sale November 14 for $299.99.
Features
Admittedly pricey, the Rezound features include a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 32GB of internal memory (with preinstalled 16GB microSD card), and the latest version of HTC Sense. The smartphone is expected to get an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in early 2012.
Beats Audio
The Rezound will also have integrated Beats Audio technology and come with a pair of custom Beats headphones. The companies promise that the smartphone will deliver deeper bass and crisper vocals, with the new technology. HTC acquired a majority stake in Beats Electronics in August, and this is the first U.S.-specific device to highlight their partnership.
Headphone jack
The top of the device houses a 3.5mm jack, and the included headphones features tangle-free wires and a remote control.
Standard controls
Below the 4.3-inch 720p HD display, you'll find the standard Android controls, illuminated in red for Verizon: home, menu, back, and search.
Camera
On back, you'll find the Rezound's main 8-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash. The camera has a f2.2 lens and can record 1080p HD video. HTC has also enhanced the camera app with such tools as instant capture, panorama mode, burst mode, and slow motion for videos.
Size
The HTC Rezound isn't what you would call a small device. It measures 5.1 inches tall by 2.6 inches wide by 0.5 inch thick.

In addition to the headphone jack, you'll also find a power/lock button on top of the phone.
Display
The Rezound is HTC's first smartphone to feature a 720p HD display. The touch screen measures 4.3 inches diagonally. As expected, the handset will come preloaded with a number of Verizon services and apps, including NFL Mobile.
Additional specs
Other highlights of the HTC Rezound include Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, and HDMI. The smartphone ships with a 1,620mAh lithium ion battery, but HTC did not provide any rated talk and standby times yet.
Beats Audio
The headphones feature the signature Beats Audio logo.
