The deep red colour -- named 'Glamour Red' by HTC -- has a metallic finish, accented by black plastic lines across the back. The display on the front is surrounded by a sleek black bezel, giving the phone something of a Dennis The Menace look.
The red model maintains the same hearty lineup of specs as before; a 4.7-inch Full HD display, quad-core processor and the 4-megapixel -- or 'Ultrapixel', as HTC calls it -- camera on the back. It's of course still built from aluminium, helping it feel much more luxurious to hold than plastic-clad phones like the Samsung Galaxy S4.
The One was previously available in silver or black. Both look great, but the red colour lends a very brash, in-your-face aesthetic to the phone that's difficult to miss and even harder not to like. If you're looking for a phone to stand out from the crowd, this is a superb choice.
The red model is currently exclusive to Phones 4 U for free on contracts starting from £37 per month. That's the same price as the silver model, in case you were worrying that you're being charged a bundle for the bright colour.
Because I'm so delightful, I've popped a lovely photo gallery of the phone above, so click through and be sure to pop your thoughts on it below or on our Facebook page.
