Honeywell's next-gen Lyric thermostat is kind of one-note (pictures)
The $250 Honeywell Lyric 2.0 suffers from some of the same old problems as the first-generation model.

Meet Honeywell's Lyric 2.0, a update to the brand's original Lyric thermostat.
This model is full of smart functionality; it connects over Wi-Fi, has geofencing capabilities and works with Apple's HomeKit platform.
The installation is fairly straightforward if you're familiar with HVAC systems and know the particulars of your own heat and A/C setup.
When in doubt, ask a professional installer (or a knowledgeable friend) for help.
And keep in mind that you'll need to connect a C, or "common" wire for HomeKit's Siri voice control integration to work.
The hardware looks and acts the same as the last-gen Lyric thermostat.
You can view the current and set temperature from the thermostat.
You can also press the cloud button on the left of the display for an at-a-glance local weather update.
And, you'll reach the settings section if you hold the cloud button down for 5 seconds.
