Half-Life: Alyx isn't Half Life 3, or even Half-Life 2: Episode 3. But it's a full-length VR Half-Life game, which is reason enough for excitement. On Thursday, Valve unveiled a bunch of details about the game, including this box art.
Half-Life: Alyx is a prequel to Half-Life 2, taking place in between the first and second games.
You play as Alyx Vance, a character introduced in Half-Life 2, as she helps Earth defend against The Combine.
It's a VR game, but not just for Valve's Index headset. It'll work on all PC-based headsets. Those who own an Index will get it for free, though.
Half-Life: Alyx launches in March.
If you don't own Valve's Index VR headset, the game will cost $59.
It is, by far, the highest profile title to be released in VR.
In Half-Life: Alyx, you mount a resistance movement against an inter-dimensional threat.
