Game of Thrones locations on Google Street View, from King's Landing to Winterfell

Game of Thrones might be best known for its mix of dragons and drama, but it's also one of the most gorgeous shows on TV. Ever wonder where they got that amazing shot? We've found 25 of the best real-life Game of Thrones shooting locations on Google Street View and matched them up with shots from the HBO show. 

We'll start with largest city in the Seven Kingdoms: King's Landing, home of the Iron Throne.

The historic walled city of Dubrovnik, Croatia, has been used as the location for King's Landing since season 2. 

In a key flashback, Ned Stark heads to the Tower of Joy in the Red Mountains to find his sister, Lyanna Stark. 

The Tower of Joy is really the Castle of Zafra in Guadalajara, Spain. 

The Kingsroad runs from Castle Black to King's Landing. In the scene pictured, Gendry and Arya Stark are on their way to join the Night's Watch. 

In real life, the Kingsroad is near Stranocum, in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. 

In Season 5, Cersei Lannister walks naked through King's Landing as penance for her sins. 

Cersei's "shame" walk was shot on St. Dominic Street in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

Here's Arya Stark looking over the city of Braavos and the Titan of Braavos statue. 

The St. James Cathedral in Sibenik, Croatia, is the location for many Braavos exterior shots. Kastel Gomilica, Croatia is also used. 

Across the Narrow Sea in Meereen, Daenerys Targaryen unleashes her dragons on the attacking fleet of Maester ships.

The location used for this epic scene, which appears in one of our favorite Game of Thrones episodes, is the Mesa Roldan tower in Cabo de Gata, Almeria, Spain.

Remember the gardens of the Red Keep in King's Landing? That's where Sansa Stark first tells Olenna and Margaery Tyrell that King Joffrey Baratheon is a "monster."

The shooting location for these luscious gardens is Trsteno Arboretum in Trsteno, Croatia.

In Season 5, the Sons of the Harpy try to assassinate Daenerys Targaryen at the fighting pits in Meereen. 

The Bullring of Osuna, in Spain, is used for Daznak's Pit in Meereen. 

Daenerys Targaryen frees the slaves of Meereen, a large city filled with pyramids and temples. 

The location for Meereen is the coastal city of Peniscola in Castellon, Spain.

While in Qarth, Daenerys Targaryen is locked inside the House of the Undying until her dragons free her. 

Qarth's House of the Undying is really the Minceta Tower in Dubrovnik, Croatia. 

The wealthy Iron Bank of Braavos has made several appearances in Game of Thrones.

The St. Jacob Cathedral in Sibenik, Croatia, stands in for the Iron Bank. 

In the Season 4 finale, Brienne of Tarth battles the Hound over Arya Stark. 

The backdrop for that fight is the Thingvellir National Park in Blaskogabyggo, Iceland.

After attempting to rescue Myrcella from Dorne, Jaime Lannister brokers a truce with Prince Doran Martell at his palace.

The throne room of the Arabic Palace at the Real Alcázar of Seville, in Spain, is used for the interior of Prince Doran's mansion.

In the sixth season, a captive Daenerys Targaryen is taken to a camp at the Dothraki Sea. 

The location for the Dothraki Sea is Bardenas Reales in Navarra, Spain.

The Long Bridge of Volantis looks a little different in Season 5. That's because shops and markets were added to the original structure using CGI.

The real location? The Roman bridge of Cordoba in Andalusia, Spain.

In Season 1, Daenerys Targaryen and Khal Drogo tie the knot outside of Pentos. 

The location for that shoot was the Azure Window on the coast of Gozo, Malta. 

In the series premiere, Ned Stark and his children find dire wolf puppies in the forests outside of Winterfell. 

The Tollymore Forest Park in Down, Northern Ireland, was the shooting location for the forests.

In the second season, Jon Snow and other Night's Watch members search for Wildlings in the Frostfang Mountains. 

The real Frostfang Mountains are located in Hofoabrekka, Iceland.

The seven Iron Islands are controlled by House Greyjoy. 

The Dunluce Castle, in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, is used for one of the Iron Islands on the show. 

In Season 2, Myrcella Baratheon leaves King's Landing for Dorne.

The scene where Myrcella leaves for Dorne was filmed in the West Harbour in Dubrovnik, Croatia. 

This picturesque locale is the exterior of Prince Doran's palace.

The exterior of House Martell is located in Alcazar of Seville in Spain. 

Winterfell is the ancestral home of House Stark. 

Castle Ward, near the village of Strangford, in County Down, Northern Ireland, is the location used for Winterfell. 

Here, Sandor "The Hound" Clegane is traveling through the Riverlands with Arya Stark.

The Krka National Park. located in Lozovac, Croatia, has been used for multiple Riverlands scenes on the show. 

On the Dragonstone Beach, Melisandre first mutters her famous phrase, "For the night is dark and full of terrors."

The beach used for Dragonstone is the Downhill Strand in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland.

After spending years living in Winterfell, Theon Greyjoy returns home to the Iron Islands. 

The port where Theon arrives is the Ballintoy Harbor in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
