It's possible to look good while tackling adverse conditions: just look at Kate Moss in Glastonbury wellies. The Fujifilm FinePix XP10 camera could do Glastonbury standing on its head and look just as good too -- but without the predilection for sketchy rockers.
The XP10 is a 12-megapixel point-and-shoot with a Fujinon 5x optical zoom lens folded up inside. It's waterproof to 3m, shockproof to 1m and freezeproof to -10C. It's also dustproof. Although there's no image stabilisation, it does offer high-definition 720p video.
The XP10 includes a new 'Easy Web' upload feature. Although it doesn't connect to the Web directly, if you select the pictures you like, the camera will automatically upload them to Facebook -- or videos to YouTube -- when you next connect to a computer.
With the XP10 and its older sibling, the FinePix Z33WP, Fujifilm is going for the stylish, colourful side of the waterproof market. We wouldn't back these curved cuties in a rumble with the new Olympus mju Tough-6020 and Tough-8010, also announced today and the latest entries to the alpha males of the rugged camera market.
