Foursquare for Windows Phone puts the popular local spots front and center in the app, hoping that you'll check out theses places and check in to them, too. As you use Foursquare, the app will start giving you more personalized recommendations for places to go.

Search

In the mood for pizza or roaming around a nearby museum? Type in a keyword or specific place name to find suggestions based on your past activity, where your friends have been, and your current location.

Map view

You can also browse every Foursquare listing around you on a map. Touch the small map at the top of the app to expand it.

Profile

You can view your personal Foursquare profile in the app, which shows your last check-in, your weekly score, stats on your total number of check-ins, badges, and tips, and your leader board, which compares your check-ins to your friends'.

Check-in

Foursquare is most known for the check-in, a feature that tells others on Foursquare, "Hey, I'm at this place." Above is the screen you'll see once you have successfully checked in to a location, complete with the number of points you earned.
