The IoSafe NAS 1513+ is a Synology DS1513+ NAS server housed in a super-rugged casing that can withstand extreme heat and water submersion. The server can house up to five internal hard drives to offer up to 20TB of raw storage space. It supports all available RAID configurations, including Synology's smart HybridRAID.
IoSafe introduced its first disaster-proof server, the N2, a year ago. The N2 is based on another NAS server from Synology.
Despite the layers of protection, the NAS 1513+'s internal drive can be easily serviced by users.
The server's drive bay door comes with two layers: the outer one protects the internal drive from extreme heat and the inner one protects it from water.
Each layer needs to be screwed back in tightly each time the server is opened.
The server comes with two replaceable ventilation fans and plenty of peripheral ports.
This is the Editors' Choice Award-winning DS1513+ NAS server from Synology that the IoSafe NAS 1513+ is based on.
