LAS VEGAS -- Massive Audio, maker of car audio gear, unleashed a full-size Dalek studded with the company's equipment here at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show. The Dalek was built by hand and integrates 40 DX-series speakers and a Bluetooth monitor on the front. The lights flash when it speaks.

Dalek made from audio gear
Massive Audio's Dalek project is designed to honor 50 years of "Doctor Who" while attracting geeks to the car stereo equipment company's booth at CES. It does both very effectively.

Amps behind the Dalek
The back side of Massive Audio's Dalek sports a DBX4 amplifier. It provides a lot of oomph to the 40 speakers on the Dalek's body. The creature was nearly kicked off the CES show floor for being too loud.
