New 'Game of Thrones' trailer, dissected shot by shot

"I was born to rule the Seven Kingdoms, and I will." - Daenerys Targaryen 

Take a closer look at the new trailer for "Stormborn" and "The Queen's Justice," the next two episodes of the season 7 of "Game of Thrones" on HBO.

Even in gorgeous landscapes, there will be war waged in season 7.

You can't have "Game of Thrones" without a majestic dragon soaring through the sky.

Cersei Lannister won't give up her Iron Throne without a fight, and she's enlisting help from House Tarly. 

Where there is war, there are intimidating, marching soldiers. And the size of Lannister's army does not disappoint.

Jon Snow seeks counsel at Winterfell and suggests dragon fire might be the key. 

"If we don't band together we will die." But which alliances will prove to be the most challenging to make?

Sansa Stark doesn't seem to be on board with an alliance with the Targaryens.

When your castle is built by magic, expect decor like this.

Casterly Rock -- stronghold of House Lannister -- is under attack! 

Here we see Euron Greyjoy riding into King's Landing, happily greeting its citizens. 

Daenerys often spends her time in the dark spaces of Dragonstone. But in the new trailer, she is seen outside in the sunlight... perhaps as a metaphor of her positive influence on what's to come. 

An exiled Melisandre pays the coast a visit, for a special meeting with Daenerys.

Grey Worm and Missandei share a lustful moment.  

Theon and Yara Greyjoy don't look very pleased to see something dramatic happening around them. Perhaps it's that big battle we saw glimpses of in the trailer?

We can only hope Arya survives whatever she looks so worried about. 

"Everyone is your enemy. Everyone is your friend. Every possible series of events is happening all at once," says Lord Petyr Baelish.

Sansa Stark listens to Littlefinger's advice on looking at the bigger picture of what is in store, and why not everything is as it seems.

Not a lot of Tyrion in the trailer, but we're happy to see him here. 

The Mother of Dragons looks thoughtful as she stands at the end of the mountain staircase. 

Melisandre comes to Dragonstone to ask Daenerys for help.

Daenerys is all ears as Melisandre relays the kind of message that could change the whole outcome of the pending war.

"I believe you have a role to play, as does another," the Red Witch tells Daenerys. But is this "another" the one and only Jon Snow?
