The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 with Windows

Lenovo's latest Yoga Tablet retains the series' quirky hinged design and runs Windows 8.1.

The tablet has a 2,560 by 1,440 Quad-HD display, and 64GB of onboard storage. The microSD expansion slot supports 64GB cards, bringing your total potential capacity to 128GB.

A hidden hinge

Press that button, and the hinge folds out. It's a simple, smooth motion that actually feels pretty slick.

That cylindrical bulge is actually the tablet's 12,800mAh battery: Lenovo claims it'll eke out up to 15 hours of battery life.

Hang your tablet

There's a square-shaped hole hole in the hinge that you can use in something called "Hang" mode.

I'm not entirely sure why someone would want to hang their tablet somewhere, but don't let my limited imagination stop you.

When you're done with the hinge, just fold it up. When closed it's flush with the rest of the device, out of the way.

Built-in subwoofer

There's a subwoofer back here, too. We didn't have much of chance to test the audio in such a noisy venue, but Lenovo claims you won't want for sound.

A pair of speakers sit on either side of the tablet. There's also a microHDMI port. And if you look on the far right edge, you'll see a microUSB port -- that's the charging port for the keyboard.

A microUSB port sits on the opposite side of the device, flanked by the power button and a speaker.

Magnets at work

The Bluetooth keyboard is bundled with the Yoga Tablet 2, and a magnetic attachment keeps the pair together.

It isn't as strong a connection as I'd like though, and I actually managed to drop the keyboard the first time I attached the two together.

Double-duty keyboard

When you're ready to go, just shut it: the keyboard doubles as a cover.
