Take a tour of the booths outside CES 2016 (pictures)
There's a lot going on in the Las Vegas Convention Center at CES 2016, but if you need a bit of fresh air, there's plenty to see outside too.

Signs of Samsung
The Las Vegas Convention Center is pretty massive, but CES is even bigger. The show spilled out into the car parks, so let's take a wander around the booths where big brands show their wares under the bright Vegas sun.
Here, Samsung brings its considerable marketing budget to bear with giant ads all over Las Vegas and the convention centre itself.
Guitar hero
Are you ready to rock? Guitar manufacturer Gibson is, with live bands playing throughout the trade show.
Where's Here? Right there
Here's a map service that used to be part of Nokia but was recently bought by a consortium of carmakers.
Pallet palace
Headphone manufacturer Skullcandy shows off its cans.
Creatures From the Tech Lagoon
Either these folks are promoting the Activeon solar-powered Solar X action camera or I'm starting to hallucinate. You can see them too, right?
Mopeddler
Mahindra hawks its GenZe electric scooter.
Channeling Knievel in Vegas
Radical, as the kids probably don't say. (Hope he doesn't break any bones.)
A mobile showroom (in more ways than one)
Chinese company ZTE posts up outside the convention centre.
Consumers consuming
A line of food trucks caters to hungry attendees.
Bon appétit!
This is the booth for Valeo, a France-based maker of auto parts. It was situated right across from the line of food trucks, and what this picture didn't capture was the annoying pitchman with a microphone standing outside yelling about "solutions" while everyone was just trying to eat lunch.
Calling all cars
Chipmaker NXP are also involved in the connected-car arena.
