Canary flexes its smart-home muscle with new camera

Meet the Canary Flex.

It's a $199/£159 security camera.

This is Canary's second product; the first was announced via Indiegogo back in 2013.

Canary's Flex has some unique features.

For starters, it has a lot of optional mounting accessories.

This basic magnetic mount is included with your purchase.

But you can also get the Stake Mount for an additional $20.

There's also a 4G LTE mount, available through a partnership with Verizon.

That means your camera should still work -- even if your Wi-Fi isn't working.

The $30 Secure Mount is designed to protect the Canary Flex against theft.

The $20 Twist Mount is bendable and can be attached to handles, doorknobs and other spots in and around your house.

This bendy mount is pretty fun to use, too.

You can move and rotate the Secure Mount to find the right angle.

The Flex has 720p HD resolution.

It also has a a 116-degree field of view.

The related Android and iPhone app also offers 24-hour free event-based storage, as well as a $10 per month 30-day event-based storage option.

Its night-vision feature helps you see things in low-light conditions.

The magnetic power adapter is simple to connect to the back of the camera.

You can also customize motion alerts based on your Home, Away and Night security modes.
