Amazon's Echo Wall Clock brings your Alexa timers into the light
The Amazon Echo Wall Clock is an easy-to-understand Alexa accessory that helps make your timers more visible.
The Amazon Echo Wall Clock is a $30 clock analog that gets its time setting from Alexa, and that can also display via a ring of LEDs how much time is left on an Alexa timer.
The Clock can display multiple Alexa timers at once, as indicated here by the primary 15 minute timer, and the LED at 6 o'clock that indicates a second, thirty minute timer.
The Clock runs on four AA batteries.
Set up is simple. Install the batteries, say "Alexa, set up my Clock," to a nearby Echo speaker, and then hold down the blue button pictured here for six seconds when prompted by Alexa.
The Clock includes four AA batteries, but a minor hiccup during setup prompted me to switch to the Duracells pictured earlier.
The Echo Wall Clock is pretty simple-looking, but it does its job and it only costs $30.
The Echo Wall Clock is a good example of other gadgets that extend features of both Alexa and Google Assistant we expect to see throughout 2019. May they all be as straighforward as this one.
