The HP Slate 8 Pro
HP's Slate 8 Pro is one of the newest tablets in the Slate line. It's running Android 4.2 and has, you guessed it, an 8-inch screen. With a 1,200x1,600-pixel screen, the Slate 8 Pro has the highest-resolution screen of any 8-inch tablet.
Plastic back cover
On the back, there's an 8-megapixel camera. Inside, the Slate 8 packs an Nvidia Tegra 4 CPU and 2GB of RAM.

Expandable memory
Depending on the model you choose, the Slate 8 comes with 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. There's a microSD card slot so you can also add extra memory.
Ports
There's a Micro-USB port to charge the HP Slate 8 pro and a Micro-HDMI for video out. The tablet's red speaker grills are a nod to the Beats Audio technology used in the Slate 8 to give audio quality a boost.
Tablet stand
There's an optional stand, built by HP, that you can purchase with the Slate 8 Pro to prop it up to watch videos.
