A 16GB USB flash drive measuring just 3cm long sounded too cute not to have sent in. It's PNY's Micro Attache City series, available in various sizes and colours and with up to 16GB of storage, and did in fact turn out to be the cutest little memory stick we've ever seen.
It's also fast, all things considered. In our benchmarks, it reached read speeds of 35MBps -- faster than the lightning-fast Corsair Flash Voyager GT -- and write speeds of just over 12MBps.
Benchmark results under Windows 7 RC, 2GB RAM, 2.13GHz Intel Core 2
But what makes this diminutive memory midget so appealing is its design -- it's absolutely bloody tiny, as our photos will show off over the page. The metal casing swings back to reveal the USB connectors and the whole drive weighs less than a 10p piece.
It's easily attached to a keyring, adding 16GB of music and photos to your ring of keys without adding any noticeable weight. It's on sale now in 2GB, 4GB and 8GB capacities. The 16GB version, which we tested, should be available from the end of this month.
