Wow! Easy Online Access for Home Users

LAS VEGAS--As expected, CompuServe officials took the wraps off here on Project Wow, a consumer-targeted online service that will feature original entertainment and information programming as well as content from other providers.

The goal is to entice home computer users without Net access to get on the online bandwagon using a service that lets them explore all areas in four clicks or less, officials said. To sweeten the pot, Wow content will be age-appropriate for all family members, noted company officials. The target audience will be comprised largely of new computer users who have little interest in the underlying technology of the Internet.

Project Wow will feature customizable content, programming, and graphics based on what subscribers in an individual home want to see. Targeted for delivery this spring, officials said pricing has not yet been set.
