Those of you looking to buy a new Samsung Galaxy S3 online from Verizon Wireless will have to wait a couple of extra days.

The carrier's Web site now pegs the phone's online availability for July 12, a change from the previous date of July 10.

However, preorders still seem to be on track, according to Engadget, which reports that some of its readers have already received the phone or at least been notified that it's shipping.

The Galaxy S3 is already available through AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint.

Verizon is selling the 16GB version for $199.99 and the 32GB flavor for $249.99. Those prices are matched by AT&T and Sprint and include the standard two-year contracts.

T-Mobile is quite a bit pricier, charging $279.99 for the 16GB model and $329.99 for the 32GB edition, even after a rebate. But a T-Mobile rep recently told CNET that the carrier's value plan makes the overall cost over two years a better value than similar plans offered by the competition.

Equipped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the Galaxy S3 offers a dual-core processor, a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display with a 1,280x720-pixel resolution, an 8-megapixel camera, and 4G LTE support.
