Why Twitter is becoming more like Facebook

Watch this: Why Twitter is becoming more like Facebook

In this tech-news roundup, see how Twitter's changes are resembling Facebook. Twitter is on a mission to make it easier to sort through the noise of tweets, and it hopes new features and a fresh design will help attract new users.

Samsung's new Gear smartwatches hit stores on April 11, but we're already getting reports of a new model. The Korea Herald says the Gear Solo could be a future smartwatch that doesn't require a smartphone to function. But in the meantime, check out CNET's full review of the Gear Fit and the Samsung Galaxy S5 , arriving Friday.

And it's time to move on from Windows XP. Microsoft will no longer support the 12-year-old operating system, so if there's a new security flaw or bug discovered -- too bad, it won't be patched. Many businesses and medical offices are still using XP and need to find a fix to avoid being an easy target.

For those that did move on to Windows 8.1, it's time to download a new update to bring back some familiar features, including an improved taskbar.
