Short Take: MS, Liquid Audio team up

Microsoft and Internet audio software maker Liquid Audio announced joint technology and marketing agreements in the streaming music field. Liquid Audio will use Microsoft's NetShow server and adopt Internet Explorer, Windows NT, and Microsoft Site Server as its preferred Internet platforms. In exchange, the company will promote Liquid Audio's Liquid Music Player on its Web site and work to integrate the Liquid Audio Server into Microsoft's Commerce Server.
