Short Take: CompuServe launches online 3D shopping center

CompuServe UK has launched what it calls the world's first online 3D shopping center. Created by Superscape VR as part of a deal to distribute its 3D Web browser product Viscape to CompuServe users, VRcade is modeled on London's Piccadilly Circus shopping area. Shops include Tesco, Waterstones, Virgin Megastore, Dixons and Interflora; users are ferried from place to place in simulated black cabs or a subway system.
