An appeals court in Florida ruled that a woman cannot file a lawsuit against America Online after a member was selling copies of a pornographic videotape of her son over an AOL chat room. The court cited a federal law that says online services are not liable for the speech that flows through their systems. The perpetrator, Richard Russell, is serving a jail sentence.
