Microsoft may launch two TV streaming devices at E3

One of them is a Chromecast-like streaming device.

The Xbox One game console may get some TV-related siblings.

Microsoft may have its sights set on ruling the television next.

The software titan has two streaming TV devices it will debut at next month's E3 video game conference, according to Brad Sams of tech news site Petri, who divulged the information Wednesday during a video podcast.

The first is a Chromecast-like device to stream Xbox digital content. The second is a box with "advanced functionality," which suggests the ability to play universal apps and games from the Windows Store, according to The Verge, which notes that it could be used to play casual games.

Microsoft declined to comment on the report.
