Macworld: Apple TV, more iTunes offerings, an iPhone with Google, and Yahoo partnerships

Steve Jobs' keynote address with a Webware twist.

Fresh from Steve Jobs' mouth at his keynote address at the Macworld Expo are a whole host of announcements about new offerings from Apple. We're covering them all at our sister blog Crave, but here are a few highlights that are of particular interest to the world of webware:

Steve Jobs' new announcement: Apple TV Engadget

  • The iTunes Store is expanding its movie offerings to include Paramount Pictures. This will include classics like Chinatown and more recent cult faves like Zoolander and School of Rock. iTunes--talk about one successful piece of webware.
  • Apple TV in September. This is a box that will allow you to put your iTunes video content on your TV; it can auto-sync with your PC and will receive streaming data from up to five computers. Built-in wireless and a 40-gigabyte hard drive. Looks like Apple is jumping on the connectivity bandwagon. It'll give you access to your photos and music on your Apple TV, too.
  • iPhone. It's a pretty much unprecedented piece of equipment right on down to Apple's partnerships with Google and Yahoo. The iPhone comes equipped with Google Maps capabilities (like satellite maps and traffic data) and Yahoo mail and search integration.
