Jabber to let people log messages

Jabber, which sells instant messaging software based on the Jabber.org open-source development project, said it would release Jabber Communications Platform version 1.2 in February. New to version 1.2 will be a feature that lets administrators log all instant messages on the server. A newly announced partnership with Redmind, a Cupertino, Calif.-based software company, integrates its Genius Archive application with Jabber's software. Genius Archive lets people search and retrieve archived messages with natural-language-processing technology.
