FaxStorm sends flurry over Net
NetCentric and ISP Concentric Network are offering a fax service over the Net.
NetCentric will sell its fax technology called FaxStorm, to Concentric, which has 100,000 users throughout the United States and Canada. The service allows users to send faxes from their desktops to any fax machine worldwide for as little as 2 cents per minute, according to NetCentric.
The first 50,000 people who visit NetCentric's Web site can download a free copy of FaxStorm, set up a trial account, and receive 30 free minutes (between 24-60 pages) of faxing. Beginning today through October 30, users can either pay 15 cents per minute or sign up for package deals ranging from $9.95 a month for 125 minutes to $19.95 a month for 1,000 minutes.
