Bertelsmann inks Net play list deal

MoodLogic, which automates the creation of personalized play lists for songs, has licensed its database to Bertelsmann Online. Bertelsmann Online is using MoodLogic for its Music Matcher, which helps shoppers find music according to criteria such as genre, tempo, popularity and time period. MoodLogic, vying with Microsoft's MSN portal in the market for custom play lists and automated music recommendations, recently signed with Muze to license its technology to AOL Time Warner's America Online, Amazon.com, Viacom's MTVi, Tower Records, Virgin Mega Stores and Yahoo.
