Yahoo starts tech shopping guide

Web portal Yahoo has launched an online shopping guide for tech products that allows people to read editorial reviews, compare prices and buy merchandise from a collection of partners. Called Yahoo Shopping Tech Center, the guide will be built with the company's online shopping technology as its foundation.

The service will use material from computer magazine PC World, Consumer Reports and video game publication GamePro.com for its product reviews. The reviews will feature product descriptions, editorial rankings, consumer rankings and a list of retailers selling the products.
