WorldWinner scores $9.2 million

WorldWinner announced Thursday it received a $9.2 million third round of funding. The round was led by Benchmark Capital, which will receive a board seat. Previous investors Zero Stage Capital, HarbourVest Partners and CommonAngels also participated in the round. Los Angeles-based WorldWinner, which holds online tournaments with cash awards, has raised a total of $17.5 million.
