Windows Media Player finds its Muze

Entertainment information company Muze says its U.K. subsidiary will provide content through Microsoft's Windows Media Player and WindowsMedia.com. The London-based division provides information about artists and more than 280,000 albums to music service providers, Web portals and stores. With the Microsoft deal, Muze catalogs will be available via Windows Media Player 7.1 and the player for Windows XP. The deal comes a month after Muze partnered with Sony Music Entertainment to stream music samples for online promotions. Other customers include Amazon.com, Yahoo, BBC, Virgin Megastores and Woolworths.
