Start-up looks to streamline business intelligence
Start-up Certive is introducing software that the company claims will streamline the process of building systems to generate reports and analyze business operations. The company's Certive Server is designed around a single server that can connect to many data sources and feed that data in a variety of formats to its users, company executives said.
Certive's software is intended to eliminate or reduce the need to replicate data in many places, which companies often do when building data analysis systems, executives said. The company's product line includes server software for connecting to data sources as well as a design tool for modeling information systems. Redwood City, Calif.-based Certive, which has three customers and is backed by venture capital, charges about $150,000 for its software package.
