Short Take: Yahoo releases test version of media player

Yahoo has released the second test, or "beta," version of its Yahoo Player software for playing and organizing online audio and video files. As first reported by CNET News.com, Yahoo is preparing the media player amid heavy competition in the Web audio and video arena. This second beta version improves on the first version with full-screen video capabilities and is available for download from Yahoo's Broadcast.com site.
