Short Take: Tripod traffic up 40 percent

Traffic on community site Tripod has jumped 40 percent since it was acquired by portal Lycos in February, according research firm RelevantKnowledge. For the period of April to May, Tripod gained more than 1 million new visitors, a one-month gain of 18.43 percent, the firm said.
