Short Take: TheStreet.com sued for libel, defamation

Financial news site TheStreet.com and one of its writers have been sued for libel by ZZAP.NET, according to the Internet marketing firm. Staff reporter George Mannes and his publisher were also sued by two ZZAP employees over two recent articles that allegedly defamed them, ZZAP.NET said. "We haven't seen any lawsuit yet so we're not in a position to make any comment," said Dave Kansas, editor-in-chief of TheStreet.com. The suit was filed in the 7th District Circuit Court of Florida, where ZZAP is located.
