Short Take: Online university receives accreditation

Jones International University (JIU)--an entirely online college--received accreditation from the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, a nonprofit membership organization that accredits institutions in 19 states, including Northwestern University, University of Notre Dame, and University of Michigan. JIU, which was founded in 1995 and offers B.A. and M.A. degrees in Business Communications, is the first online university to be accredited by the organization.
