Short Take: MSN head takes leave of absence

Matt Kursh, the general manager of Microsoft's MSN Web portal, has taken an indefinite leave of absence and has not decided whether he will return, Kursh confirmed. Citing personal reasons coinciding with the birth of his first child, Kursh has vacated his post at MSN and will consider his options. Kursh joined Microsoft in 1996 when his company, eShop, was acquired by the software giant.
