Short Take: Microsoft prepares IE bug fix

Microsoft says it plans to issue a patch to address a security problem with certain configurations of its Windows operating system and Internet Explorer. The problem was first identified by security consultant Georgi Guninski. Microsoft said it has confirmed the exploit affects people running Windows 95 or Windows 98 who upgraded to IE 5.x from versions of IE 4.x with its "integrated shell" feature. The company said it is continuing to investigate a second bug identified by Guninski.
