Short Take: Michigan takes Social Security numbers off site

The Michigan Jobs Commission said Social Security numbers are no longer used on its Net job bank, which more than 100,000 job applicants have used to post resumes. After Net privacy concerns were raised by at least one consumer advocate, the commission replaced the use of the numbers, which allowed entry to the system, with unique identification numbers.
