Short Take: Independent film news site relaunches

IndieWire.com, a Web site that offers independent film news, information, and community, has relaunched. The service began in 1995 as a forum on America Online, and has evolved into a new site as well as two publications delivered via email and a content provider to push services PointCast, Netscape Netcaster, and Microsoft ActiveChannel. The Internet has been a boon to creative, independent communities that before had few ways to gather and exchange information.
