Short Take: Federal judge moves Net filter lawsuit forward

A federal judge in Virginia has pushed forward a civil liberties lawsuit to overturn the Loudoun County Public Library's Net filtering policy. U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema denied the county's motion to dismiss the case. The People for the American Way and the American Civil Liberties Union want the policy ruled unconstitutional because it limits access to any "material deemed harmful to juveniles," regardless of a patron's age.
